Allyn Lodge is the largest freestanding timber structure in New York State. A wedding and events venue set among birch trees and pond views just outside Skaneateles.

Owned by Woodbine Hospitality, the property was undergoing both a rename and a quiet repositioning, with the new name itself a tribute to the Allyn family, whose legacy is deeply woven into the land and community surrounding the lodge.

The identity is anchored by Rexton Medium, a bold geometric typeface whose heavy letterforms mirror the timber beams that define the lodge's architecture. Sharp angular cuts in letters like the A echo the peaked rooflines and triangular gables of the structure, while generous letter spacing gives the mark a sense of luxury and open air. The result is a typeface that feels crafted rather than chosen, as grounded and enduring as the building it represents.

Custom illustrations of the local landscape white pines, and the great blue heron native to the Finger Lakes form the backbone of the visual system. Used across patterns and collateral, they root the brand in its specific place without leaning on cliché, bringing the natural surroundings inside the identity. The system extends across signage, print collateral, and staff uniforms, an identity that honors where the lodge came from while signaling where it's headed.
